Gabriela turned 11 months today. Our baby is getting older, and in one short month will turn 1. Oh, how time flies. It seemed that just yesterday we were getting on a plane to go to China, and yet I was talking with Florencio yesterday how it already seemed a if we had had Gabriela from the very first. We just love to pieces our little girl, who has gotten so far already. Among Gabriela's accomplisments during the last month are the following. She can crawl pretty fast (without raising her torso, not yet on her 4), and has already begun crawling on her arms and legs a bit going backwards. When she is sitting down, she also holds up to my arm, and stands up. She claps, does the Linda Manita, knows how to do no and yes, says mama and has begun to say papa and babble up a storm. Gabriela loves to pretty repeat everything she sees, which is a great joy to watch. She also likes to play and eats like a truck driver. A lot!!! She is also quite the manipulator. If I scold her she will immediately go to do the Linda Manita with her hand because she knows that I love it when she does it. Gabriela also loves to play peek a bo. She will cover her face with a blanket and wait until I go, Where is Gabriela, and begins to laugh. Gabriela laughs a lot and is pretty social, so much so that at first I was worried whether it was because she was not bonding, but not at all. Gabriela is totally conscious of who is her mommy, and calls for Mama not other people. I am totally in love with my daughter, as well as Florencio and Sebastian. Seba loves his sister and cuddles with her and really likes to hug her and kiss her. It is so cute to see my children. In turn, Seba is Gabi's idol. She laughs at anything that Seba does, no matter how silly. She thinks that Seba is hilarious. Another funny tidbit is that when we first met Gabriela, she had 2 teeth with some very swollen gums. Now she has 8 teeth.
Two days ago we also went to another birthday party, and was again Gabi did really well with people. She just loves a good party and this one was great. Yesterday we went to Great Taste, our favorite Chinese restaurant. The waitresses who knew we were adopting from China got pretty excited when they saw Gabriela.
So far, there are only a few things that Gabriela does not like, and one is to touch grass, which I just found out today. I know that she will get over it. Te amo mi vida!!!
